I have an armadillo that come in the middle of the night setting on the security light, a squirrel that come on all time of day and night running and jumping from the screen cage. Both waking me up.... Should I ask the county to do something about it?

You could call the counties pest control. I get your point, buy better windows, I haven't seen a train cruising without the barrier in S Tampa anyway, why do they have to blast their horns.

Reminds me of when Fish hawk was first being built. It didn't take long for the residents to complain about the phosphate trucks driving down Lithia rd. to the ports!!. I guess its like building a house over in Cape Canaveral and complaining about the noise from the space shuttle.

In Seattle, the blaring horn is considered part of the city's lore. Here in Tampa it's a nuisance. I guess it's all in the time of day/night the horn is blasted.

The lady hit the train, she hit it not the other way around, it could have been a wall she would of hit it.

It can be done. However, whether Tampa leaders consider this important enough to follow through is the question. Meanwhile, neighboring Lakeland FINALLY has their quiet zones in downtown up and running.

Lakeland is a cool little city. We lived there for two years and loved it. It's a city that has it's act together. I love the way they restored the downtown, good to hear about the trains.
