I see no real rain coming for weeks unless something really freaky goes down and that is about a 3.5% chance. Figure mid June if we are lucky. With a warming planet we will see high pressure in the upper levels locked in over us more and more meaning no winters and less rain over the years to come. At least the south part of the west coast is getting rain today.
90 degrees to me is irrelevant as long as the dewpoint lingers around what it's been lately. What I dread the most is 95 degrees with 75 degree or higher dewpoint. Of course, we all know it's coming and unlike where I'm moving back to, it won't let up for minimum 4 months straight. *shudder*

It's coming later in june once the gulf temp gets above 85. Once we get into a reverse west wind flow and the wind blows off of nasty 85 to 92 gulf water temps it will feel like a steam bath from hell. Since i am on the gulf my lows are around 78 to 82 most all summer. Anyone that says a sea breeze feels nice in the summer is just insane. It makes it feel much more humid. Now if we could get the gulf temps in the mid 50's during the summer it would change everything.

Enjoy the record heat today petes. High pressure in the upper levels will weaken some next week and give us a little break on the heat. Just no chance of any real rain for days.

Loving it!!! Just picked up a two bag special of charcoal from lowes and iced down my Yeti cooler. I even turned down the temp to my hot tub to 89!! Life is good my friends. Thinking this might be a smoked brisket kind of day.

You can have it. I gotta see if my 45 Q Yeti will fit in the back of my C6 Vette. It would not fit in the trunk of the 2015 GT stang. Heat is ok if it's dry but when the dewpoints nasty up i hate it.

April as a general rule, has been more moderate than a couple of the past few Aprils. I remember I don't know if it was last year or the year before when 27 of 30 days in April it was above or around 90 : O. It does seem like summer is getting back into full force now though. I'm thankful for the fact that at least for now I'm in a profession where summers are off. Out of June to August time off, I plan to be out of state for at least half of the 75 or so days. Will be nice to have that break.

The last 6 years have been way above normal. Anyone with a head can see how fast we are warming up. There is no going back now as the planet just keeps heating up at a much faster pace. Parts of the planet will heat up faster and see much less rain while other parts will cool and see much more rain. We are in the less rain and hotter sections so not good for us.

Yup.Me too.
The hotter the better as far as I'm concerned.
Infinitely more preferable than shovelling snow or freezing.
It may just be my interpretation of things but I can't help noticing that heavy people complain most about the heat.Maybe they should think about getting out in the evening and doing some walking.

Same old broken record from this poster above time after time. It's fat peeps, it's fat peeps and it's fat peeps. Well i been sweaten all moring, cleaning the vette and mowing the dust and i hate it and i am 6.2 195lbs and i hated it when i was 15 at 6.1 and 140lbs and i hated it at age 30 at 165lbs. I hate high dew points no matter if i was 20 lbs or 2 tons.
You heat lovers will like it 30 years from now when it 90 year round if ya live that long.
