And the facts are it is nasty, hot and dry most of the year now compared to 40 years ago.

No worse than the cheerleaders who deny reality.

Well it's certainly hot and dry thank goodness.
But nasty ? Try telling that to the thousands of people who move here every day.
Some days can be a bit sticky but I'd rather take that than shovelling snow, freezing temperatures and constant rain.
Fact is 40 years is a scintilla of a nano-second in meteorological terms and whilst the weather might seem to be a lot different I doubt it is.

Ya 40 years is nothing on the big scale over millions of years, but is enough to see big changes in our normal summertime pattern and our much warmer winters. Just the last 6 years have seen a huge change in warmer winters as we have past the tipping point and my so called snowball effect is taking place as i type this.

Thank goodness? Did you miss the fact that there are dozens of wildfires all over Florida right now because of the lack of rain, not to mention the 2000+ acre one over the weekend that shut down parts of the Veterans Expressway and threatened communities?

There could also be pestilence and plagues of locusts. It's called the natural world.
Such phenomenon are the inevitable effects of living in a tropical environment, much like abundant fruit and produce.
Why waste time virtue-signalling when you can be outside enjoying clear blue skies and wonderful sunshine.
I love Florida !

Because the clear blue skies in my neighborhood were filled with smoke all weekend, genius.
