Here's a new question: what would you consider the most politically/socially liberal areas of Tampa (so I don't get socked in the mouth every time I express a political opinion)

Is education level tied to voting tendencies? | PolitiFact Georgia
Is education level tied to voting tendencies?

Sabato said that "the higher the education level, the more likely [voters] are to vote Democratic." Sabato bases his claim on 2008 exit polls showing this national trend. Several polls and analysis done on data from presidential elections dating back at least a decade support Sabato’s claim.

For many areas of the country, Sabato’s claim holds true. But in Georgia and the Deep South, the GOP is still firmly in control. We rate Sabato’s statement Mostly True.

Political ideologies in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Education, up to the undergraduate level, increased a person's chances of him or her voting Republican. The contradiction is explained through moderate voters who tend to become more conservative as they become more economically prosperous. At the post-graduate level, liberals outnumber conservatives and a majority commonly votes Democratic

Proof: Republicans Really Are Dumber Than Democrats - Business Insider
The more college graduates, the more Democratic (and especially more liberal) the state. The fewer college graduates, the more Republican and (and especially more conservative) the state.

NOTE: red highlights merely from a past thread when some silly people were arguing that it was bad to be w of 56th in TT, so I looked specifically at that area and reported in that chart.

I wouldn't think anyone would get socked in the mouth from either side, unless one was cramming their views down someone's throat.

I dislike both party platforms and IF I mention my feeling about that with anyone, the only thing that happens is silence or agreement. No fights.

I don't spout out with my views. But will be taking my conservative vote to Florida. It amazes me that there are a lot of people that want to escape the bs of the northeast but they still end up voting on the left when they get down south. Either way the republican party is doomed. More illegal immigrants will become legal immigrants with a stoke of a pen. Then they will be reliable democratic voters, The fat lady is signing!

To the OP:

I'm an unabashed unapologetic liberal with a capital L. DH is a libertarian. We have found happiness and similarly minded folks in FL, but it takes some looking, as you can see from other posts on this thread. Good luck!!
