Are all of the areas I mentioned not very nice anymore?!
They are spotty as the other poster said. IT varies a lot from one neighborhood to the next.

Just curious, when you say no to Sarasota, do you include all the areas around it? Bradenton, Venice, etc have plenty of nice neighborhoods.

Yep it is because he can afford it and at least he has all his teeth, and he has all of his teeth unlike most people here.
I was quoted $987 for one root canal. There is a VERY good reason why people don't have teeth in their mouths in FL. I still drive 4 hours to Miami to my dentist. In all these years in Tampa we haven't found ONE office that didn't try to rip us off. My husband has perfect teeth no cavities, and they wanted to charge him $488 for a simple cleaning! No Thanks!
Your dentist may be ripping you off. Here's how to avoid that. - Vox

Yep that's why my wife has a phone interview in a couple weeks with a large dental firm in Michigan starting her off at $60,000 a year she wants to work with real dentist.

Ive met a lot of people in FL when I was a paralegal. They came from all walks of life but mostly people who lived in more rural areas within 75 miles or so from Orlando They figured that a "big city lawyer" could do a better job for them in their workers' compensation claims and the fact that small town lawyers didnt practice workers' compensation. Most of our clients were laborer types. Worked in fruit packing houses, construction, machine shops and machine operators. Hard working, but poor people and a lot of them had dental problems among others. These were the people who's great grandparents were the ones who got the the 160 acre lots for free if they lived on it and farmed it. Those lots are still in the possession of many families. Some were subdivided over time so that their children and grand children would inherit there own land as time went by. So, you have a whole lot of people holding title to a lot of land all over FL and they live in trailers, shacks or homes that probably doesnt have indoor plumbing, running water, reliable electric service. However, they to work every day they can.

I found that just because they had dental problems it did not mean they were ignorant or are too stupid to brush and floss. These folks just didnt have the money to pay for routine care or the treatment plan once a condition developed. They were lucky to scrape enough money together to have an abscessed tooth pulled but not have a root canal and cap. I also learned that having dental problems is not indicative of someone's intelligence. The only one who is ignorant is the person using it as a derogatory description of another. I found that the people from small rural towns like Bushnell, Lake Alfred, Lake Wales. Center Hill, Haines City, Lady Lake, Umatilla, Bartow and others were people who would feed you if you knocked on their door and said you were hungry. They were the people who packed the local churches on Sundays, they were the people who worked hard for little money.

Think about that the next time you mock people for missing teeth.

WOW!

How can people so blatantly stereotype others??????????????????????????

An active thread from the past couple days is in regards to Tampa being 'Snobbish'. How everyone is so, so surprised. Then you read the comments in here.

Hope you people feel much better about yourselves.

There are really good people everywhere, with a handful of idiots mixed in. Look at that view instead of thinking you understand why others look the way the do, act the way they do, etc...

SHAMEFUL

I showed a picture of a guy with bad teeth. We're do you get off telling me that I was mocking people with no teeth. You post pictures also so I guess you are mocking people in Michigan. You take things to serious dude or dudet you need to get a life. And get out of that ivory tower that you live in in Spring Hill gods country.
