Such a shame it's come to this, but that's globalism for you.

Terrorists have shown to make statements by killing Soldiers. A British Soldier was assassinated on the streets in London (I believe) recently as well as the Canadian up in Ottawa a couple of days ago. Only makes sense for the military to keep a lower profile, especially in times like these.

Completely agree. It just bums me out that the troops can't be who they are IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. Then again, neither can many citizens, any more.

There's a solution to this, of course. But it wouldn't fit the corporate "family of man" globalist BS meme.

I spent about 15 yrs stationed overseas and we were always warned to keep a low profile - not wear uniforms off base except to get to our homes if we lived off base/post or we could do a quick stop at the local grocery store then head home. It has pretty much been a way of life even before 9/11 for people overseas. I'm still surprised today to see military in the malls shopping while wearing their battle dress uniforms (ACUs/BDUs or whatever they call them now). Even in basic training we were instructed to wear Class Bs if you're going off post for any length of time.

Just a force protection deal - makes sense especially while fighting ISIS and Jihadists.

I can understand overseas. When in Rome and all that. But at home it's a travesty to have to be cautious.

This is what happens when we spend 2% of the federal budget for education and the rest to fight wars where we don't belong!

It's sad really.

How about STARTING wars where we don't belong? That's pretty disgusting, too. My dad (WW 2 vet) used to lose it every time the news came on during the Vietnam era. We thought he was going to have a stroke, sometimes.

Both.

Can you blame him? I can't.

100%-2%=98%. So you're posting on CDF that 98% of our Federal budget is spent on fighting wars?

I claim bull**** and believe your facts are far from being correct.

If WE dont fight the wars people take over other peoples countries. Remember a guy named Hitler?

All of Europe was being over run by the Nazis. WE had to go fight a war where we didnt belong.
