I agree ^^. I grew up in that area, nice central location. Also Wellswood, if you can find something, that is a great neighborhood (at least I remember it to be). I still have relatives there.

Can't find anything in South Tampa? Feel lucky. You dodged a bullet.

I've recently been looking into something affordable w/water views in South Tampa/SOHO area too. Options seem pretty limited, but here's an intriguing one:

Bayshore Royal Condo - Bayshore Condos

Does anyone have any first-hand info. on living in this particular bldg. and/or the surrounding area?!

Prices are nuts! There is a ton of development going on in that area but from an outsider looking in...seems very bubbleish. That being said, once I find a place you better believe I'll buy into the hype.

I'll look at the other area you recommended.

Someone else mentioned Wellswood, I'll look into that. It would just suck to traverse Hillsborough across town 2x a day for work.

How's the causeway for the morning commute if you live in Safety Harbor coming to Tampa?

Why not look a little further inland at Carrollwood or Citrus Park?
I wouldn't buy there. Carrollwood is a traffic Apocalypse.

I dont know in the morning, but in the summer when my kids have Zoo Camp I go west on it and its not bad I imagine in the spring it must be hellish, but in the afternoon coming back its awful, I sometimes go east on the causeway going back to S Tampa in the afternoon, I can see the traffic coming west is backed up 60% of the bridge and even worse making that right into bayshore(Safety Harbor's bayshore).
