looking to find a nice place to go camping either with my wife or a couple of guys near the Tampa area during thanksgiving break.

Anyone know of any good spots? I dont want to have to camp right next to a bunch of people with their RV's. Honestly I don't really want to see anyone else while I'm camping at all.

This is optional, but Id love to find a place remote enough to do a little bit of plinking.

Im all ears, so give me any suggestions. I wouldn't mind driving an hour or two if it meant being able to get away from everything for a few days.

The Ocala National Forest is nice. The Withlacoochee State Forest outside of Brooksville is closer to you.
.
Croom Wildlife Management Area is another good choice.
