Hi all,
I'm desperate to visit St. Pete and I'll be arriving in January (on a bit of a tight budget) for an extended visit and I wanted to know if there might be any recommendations for a nice, safe extended stay hotel or hostel in downtown St.Pete near all the restaurants, shops etc? It would be great if I could find a place for 150. a week or less if possible. And would any of you know of any cool bars with great "happy hour" specials that offer complimentary food? I guess now you know just how tight my budget is: ). Thanks guys in advance for any suggestions!

I checked a place we use to stay in Redington Beach. Old motel made into condos but had a good beach, nothing fancy. The cheapest room I saw was $65.00 a night. Has no pool and is just a plain little place but it is on the beach. They do have kitchens though.
You might get a studio for a little less but I doubt it will be less than $50.00 a night

It is not going to be easy to find something for $150 a week anywhere near the beach.

Maybe the YMCA if they have rooms but I have no idea if they even have rooms. Sorry..
