Homicide in terms of overall crime is minuscule, furthermore if you look up the stats on homicide by residence meaning comparing apples to Apples, if you take two people from the same high crime area they're are just as likely to commit homicide regardless of race, which points to socioeconómics, at any rate if you look at the overall crime stats there are right along the line with each other.

Twaddle. Every time a cop messes with a law abiding citizen just because he or she can, they make an enemy for the force, or at least someone who is indifferent to their travails. I saw Nocco's presser on TV. Frankly, I do find him to be a likeable enough person. But these sheriffs and chiefs need to be a little more cognizant of what the boots on the ground are doing and maybe he can answer his own question that he aimed at the public: "What's going on with society?" Look in the mirror. LEOs are responsible for crime or lack of it in the community. Want to create more criminals? Then go right ahead and treat law abiding citizens like criminals and you'll get your wish.

In a way, I'm glad I had the experience I did, it gave me great insight into the current state of affairs.

Fair enuf. 'hoods like Wall Street, Capitol Hill, etc. Maybe even Silicon Valley.

BTW, this is what happens in society when you eviscerate the middle class.

And so I'm answering Nocco's rhetorical question aimed at the general populace:

Sir, THIS is what happens when you eviscerate the middle class. THIS is what happens when you don't go after the REAL criminals. THIS is why you see this going on out there in "society".

Wrong. We had the strongest middle class in world history in the 1960s and 1970s, yet crime exploded. Why? Because our cultural leaders, though they had been phenomenally successful in building a great society, were eclipsed by a new set of leaders who told everybody "If it feels good, do it.". Some types of people are better equipped than others to handle this kind of freedom.

There is no point in discussing crime and civil society once you make such a statement.

Crime exploded. Where is that written? What kind of crime? Where? How does it compare to now, and how would we really know, because I believe very little of what's told to me by gov't or MSM. Lies, lies, lies.

Stop being so paranoid. Violent and property crime did start to rise along with the population in the 1960's-1970's and peaked in the early 1990's. It has been steadily declining since then while the population continues to rise.

Heh-heh, tell it to Nocco. He's the one wondering what's up with society.
