Just keep your eyes open. Yes, we are in "Southshore" versus "South Tampa".

I am thinking about moving to FL. I?want to be around water. How are the 2 areas different?

I cannot speak about South Tampa but Apollo Beach is in the area known as "Southshore". It has a small town feel and if you want to live near the water, there are lots of options.

From where we live we have access to everything we want - Tampa is about 30-40 minutes to the north; St. Pete is about 40 minutes to the west; and, Sarasota is about 35 minutes to the south. We live less than 1/4 mile from water and about 1 mile from Tampa Bay, in Mirabay.
