I'm actually surprised that it took this long for Vannort54 to bring up a Chicago comparison in this thread.

So, where is your data? Crime here is kindergarten compared to where I am from. Here the victim of a murder usually knew his assailant. Not so where I am from. People get robbed on the street and got shot and killed for not having enough to hand over and a lot of times just for the hell of it.

This is not Chicago, thankfully.

The truth that all you do is complain about Tampa and talk about how great Chicago is? No, it doesn't hurt me, I just think it's pretty sad. I don't understand why you live here honestly. A lot of people love the Tampa Bay area, myself included.

May be you didn't follow the poster but he has indicated several times that he wants to get out of here. Just waiting for his wife to secure the job in Chicago or wherever it was I forgot the exact location up north. There are people who want to get out but can't. He is one of them, I believe.

I am from LI and I was a cop in NYC. I don't think Tampa is anymore dangerous than NY. Yes of course people can become random victims however so much crime is one person known to another. A lot of times people put themselves in bad positions. Now as far as accidents go I have never seen so many dam accidents that I am seeing here.
