I'm checking it out next time I go to a Lightning game or Tampa Theatre. For sure. Unfortunately with being in Bradenton when I visit, everything is literally at least 30 minutes. Heck, it takes at least 20 minutes to get to Downtown Bradenton, for that matter. Tampa Bay has a lot to offer, I just wish it wasn't so spread out. I mean it can honestly take an hour each way from Bradenton to Tampa coming from exit 220, depending on the traffic...

Ended up making it last night. It really was a great spot. Also interesting to see how many people made the trek from downtown/UTampa because of free parking. I have to say, I can admire that, because I always do that, and you rarely find anyone in Orlando who won't pay for Magic games. Sort of a different attitude which I admire.

I've always had a great meal, great service and a great time at Iavarone's. Iavarones Steakhouse - Home I'll be visiting there again in April and am looking forward to it.

For a relaxed lunch, brunch, or just a cool one with a nosh, Rick's On The River is a favorite hangout. http://www.ricksontheriver.com/

I was about to say Big John's but you beat me to it. First Choice BBQ in Brandon is really good too. I'd also like to add Nico's Diner on Florida Ave & Three Coins Diner on Nebraska Ave to the list. They're nothing fancy but I like old school diners.
