1. The team that has won Game 3 after a split of the opening two contests of the Final has gone on to capture the Stanley Cup 21 of 26 times (80.8%) since the series adopted the best-of-seven format in 1939.

BUT.....
2. In the last such instance, in 2013, the Blackhawks lost Game 3 at BOS (2-0 L) before ultimately winning the Stanley Cup in six games.
BUT.....
3. In the instance prior to that, in 2004, the Lightning also lost Game 3 at CGY (3-0 L) before ultimately winning the Stanley Cup in seven games.

SO THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES....FIGHT HARD BOLTS!

This is easy to say when a Tampa Bay team is fighting for the Cup. Try convincing transplants to support the Bucs after a 2-14 season......or the Rays who spend the least on salaries in MLB and usually have a bunch of no-namers on their squad.

I love the way Hedman has been playing these playoffs.....and when he's on, the team wins.

Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman has 'coming-out party' in Game 3 of Final

Yeah I don't know why he keeps saying that. It really has nothing to do with the discussion. Maybe he's insecure about his team.

Hey, support who you wish, cheer for who you want, it's sport, not an international military conflict !

That said, we do get very tired of rather loudmouth, vociferous, rabid fans from "up north" (especially Pittsburgh, Wiconsin) that can't seem to grasp that no one cares about their "being from Pittsburgh", etc "being from wherever".....it gets very old and very obnoxious really.

I mean if you are in love with Wisconsin, Green Bay, etc etc, why the hell did you move in the first place Most people in Florida like to live in Florida, right?

Find you rainbow, and enjoy life - cheer or don't cheer, but most don't need to be reminded "where you're FROM" and WHY you are a loudmouth. Just have fun and understand it's a stupid GAME, NOT a religion. Okay?

OP must be new to sports. If OP is that upset about it, I'm sure a local high school team would love to have them as a fan...

Just don't tell him where most of the US National team soccer players are from. He may faint.

Not judging all, but we all know that many from the northern states come down and still love their northern team.

You moved to Florida for a reason, embrace it and love the hometown teams!
Good Luck with that. 1% of all people moving here and crowding this state might "give a $hit" about it! Most don't. Most only care for the lack of snow, and their big homes with granite counters. It's sad really. I see so many FL license plates when we go to Disney and in the front they have their teams splashed all over their cars. It's INSULTING to the state you want to call "home" so badly.
