Well, that was tough to watch.

Interesting that the Lightning's last 2 seasons mirrored the NY Ranger's seasons 1 year removed.

Oh well, it's officially baseball season.

The Lightning had a great run this season. They gave the Penguins a challenge in the Eastern Conference Final. I hope the Lightning will have a good 2016-2017 season.

Game could've been worse for Bolts. Pens missed a couple opportunities. I don't know much about the game, but Pens looked much better than Bolts last game. Odd to see Stammer. Would've been a good story if they won. Wonder if he disrupted any chemistry. Wonder if he'll be back next season. Team exceeded expectations especially we
when losing three top players including number one goalie......

After going to the finals last year it's hard to say that they exceeded expectations this year. Seems like they were outworked by the Pens.

The pens gave tampa pressure all series long. Hard to score goals when you can't even get a shot on goal!
Bolts went further in the playoffs then I thought they would, so a great season Lightning. Now comes the fun with the head office and players contracts. Great Season Bolts!! thank you all, now Football Season is even closer!

when you lose your goalie, your best defenseman, best player.....and win 2 out of three series without key players - then they exceed expectations.....there were a lot of "expert" analysts who didn't them much of a chance - started hearing that in March.

The Penguins almost lost the series. In game 4, they did not start scoring until the third period, and lost 4-3. In game 5, they nursed a one-goal lead into the third period 3-2 and lost in overtime 4-3. That gave the Lightning the 3-2 series lead. The Penguins got their act together, and won games 6 and 7 to win the series.

The Penguins missed opportunities, but they found ways to win elsewhere. Shooting the puck instead of passing it and producing on the power play are two opportunities for improvement.

The lightning have a great owner and a super front office. Its nice to see at least one of the tampa sports teams giving there fans something to cheer about. With such a young team and a great farm system they have developed, I believe they will give their fans a good to great team for years to come. The Bucs seem to be stumbling in the dark since they fired Gruden, 5 head coaches in the last 9 yrs. If I am going to support a team, I like to feel like we have a chance to win it all at the start of every season. The Rays being the leagues best farm team and being near last in payroll every year, you don't get that. Go Bolts.
