Your last comment is ridiculous at best; folks budget money for entertainment, but why should they go to a Rays-White Sox game if they're Blue Jays fans ? Instead of a movie they really want to see ...

Be thankful Tampa is a town full of transplants; if they weren't living in TB, you wouldn't have the population base to support any teams.
lot of excuses - but the same people will be whining when the TB lose a franchise and the city loses relevance.

LeBron will have any commentator job waiting for him when he retires. I see him working in the sports analysis department ESPN or other network. He's got so much insight, and he's pretty damn well spoken - that interview after the game on the court was very impressive. The guy is pretty damn smart.

Hey I give all hockey teams respect but the fans here think they have the best hockey team of all time, you have one cup and people are starting to call them a dynasty. The Detroit redwings are a dynasty these facts don't lie and they say the lightning owner is the best in the NHL the wings owner is already a member of the hockey hall of fame and his wife and daughters are the only woman to have their names engraved on the stanley cup.

As of 2014, the Red Wings have won the most Stanley Cup championships (11)[1] of any NHL franchise based in the United States, and are third overall in total NHL championships, behind the Montreal Canadiens (24) and Toronto Maple Leafs (13)

I hardly think the city will lose relevance if a sports team leaves ...

Tell me how much it costs for a family of 4 to go a Bucs game ? Much easier for single folks to go to multiple games per year than to pack up a family and spend 3-4 times that amount. But that's just an excuse, right ?

And let's face it, the Trop is in a crappy location. How many folks living in Brandon or Temple Terrace want to fight traffic and drop over to St Pete for a game ?

Yeah he's pretty smart. There was this one play last night where he was pointing to his head, showing that play was made because of basketball IQ.

Good points. The location of the Ice Palace has to be one reason for the good attendance numbers that the Lightning pulls in.

You did say they would not make it past the second round, did you not?
