Very possible that Winston won't start until midway into the 2015 season.
Winston is your #1 QB right now. You don't draft a QB #1 overall to sit him

Several first round draft choice QBs don't start game one. If he's ready, he'll start. But reading NFL.com Whisenhunt says he intends on starting Mariota so I stand corrected. In today's NFL, these head coaches are under a lot of pressure to start these guys, ready or not.

I agree both of those guys are day 1 starters unless they are awful in training camp like Manziel was and is.
You sit your top ten pick qb when you have a serviceable starter which neither the Bucs or Titans have, unless you have a guy who can win games for you while the rookie learns, you are better off starting your rookie with a limited playbook so he gets use to the speed of the game etc.

the Packers were winners at the time - the Bucs aren't - there are too many people's necks on the line (Licht, Lovie) for them to sit on Winston......but I doubt he'll be ready to start. They'll throw him to the wolves though.....

Just keep him away from Warren Sapp - the nightlife would ruin this kid.

there are a couple of "ify" type of players in the next round (2nd pick) that the Bucs will have to look at drafting - one guy involved in a murder investigation (not a suspect at this time), another guy who has failed multiple drug tests but is a good player, and a few other suspects.......we'll see if the Bucs go the high road on their next pick or pick to their needs (OL, DL).
