There isnt a slam dunk place for the Rays to go. It takes a lot more to support a baseball team that has 3-4 games a week to fill, when you move a team you risk alienating the fan base that you are moving away from, I dont know that there is an open market that justifies losing a market of Tampa's size. This is why MLB was interested in the Orlando-Tampa high speed rail that would have facilitated putting a team around the Lakeland area that serves both markets, add to that the fact that MLB is planning expansion that narrows your potential markets even more. IMO you move the Rays to downtown tampa or the fairgrounds area.

Yup! Having lived in LA at one point, I'm very excited about this.

No surprise there. Hopefully he does good, because the Bucs are becoming like the Browns.

I walked past Steve Deumig who was doing his radio show at the FLA Fairgrounds and asked him if we'd hired a new HC, he said no. That was at 4 pm. Really happy with yet another untested guy at HC after Schiano, Morris not getting it right. I'm pessimistic with Koetter but time will tell. BTW, he's from my undergrad alma mater.......hope he makes the Idaho State Univ Bengals proud.

They are also putting a lot of faith in Winston. A lot. Well the Glazers better pray things work out the way they intend.

Talked to Mike Smith, who worked with Koetter with Falcons and Jaguars. Potential DC for new Bucs staff, but declining to comment now.
