What a great spot Downtown. Not something I expected to find in Tampa. Turns out they have been open for a year, I love juice bars so I checked it out. The juice was good, but the interior was amazing. Exposed brick walls, upscale furniture and tables, pool table, big flat screen TV, etc. Definitely a good spot for working out of for a few hours.

I also noticed a few other things going on in that area of Downtown (Franklin), Eddie & Sam's seems to be expanding and my favorite place in all of Tampa, Bavaro's, seems to be getting busy and busier these days.

See what happens when I post something positive? I don't hate Downtown that much.

Went back there again today, really cool place. That section of Downtown seems to be getting busier and busier with the events going on around there.

Tampa cheerleaders don't care for downtown.

Go west a block and eat at L'Eden. Bavaro's will move down your list immediately. Bavaro's is good, but their offerings are really limited, at least at lunch. I would hope they have a better menu for dinner.

There are some other restaurants in that immediate area that are lacking. For example, Taco Bus, or the upscale place just north of it that has the multiple station setup with lots of different things. (Fresh?) Interesting concept but nothing outstanding about it, and they're expensive.

Urban Cantina is meh as far as Mexican.

The Thai place next to the Tampa Theatre is good and has a really good lunch special.

No, no, no. It's a pit there, the water is horrible, terrible crime, it smells, your life is at risk there, stay away.

See, all positive.

It's both crime ridden and empty! People here can't make up their minds.

I love downtown, I just hate paying to park. I'll have to check it out on a weekend sometime.

Don't forget that parking is free on weekdays after 6, so you must be visiting earlier in the day.

Oh, trust me... I haven't forgotten. Most of my Exploring Tampa scenes are filmed after six because of that reason.

L'eden wasnt great the times I tried it, it wasnt a big menu other than some quiche that was sitting out for a while, anyway I know they got a new owner a couple of months back, I will have to try it again.
