That feels Arctic to me. I do not like AC that much. We moved from Europe and never had a need for one until our first summer in NY.

I usually have the windows open and fans going during the day, at night I turn on the AC to sleep in the cool. On VERY hot days, I'll keep the AC going, but it usually has to be very humid or in the 90's before I do that... so.... a few degrees lower than whatever the temp is outside.

My electric bill: about $100 month.

I work from home as well and keep mine at 77 all the time. With the bedroom ceiling fan that's cool enough for me to sleep. Even when I was working outside the house I kept it at 77 because of my pets. One of my cats in particular has extremely fine fur and the slightest humidity gives her terrible knots. It's miserable to deal with.

I have just under 1400 sf and my electric bill was $99 this past month. I also run a lot of electronics constantly which ups my bill some, I'm sure.

Usually 81 all day and night with ceiling fans and four 12 inch table fans running. When the morning is cool (75 or below) I would open windows to let in the cool air. Last elec bill was $109 - house is single story 2400 sq ft, with low E windows. When we go out I raise the temp to 83.
