Hi, I put an offer for some property in Citrus County and the house is near Holiday Drive. Can someone please tell me how the neighborhood is or how I can find out. Do I call the Sheriff's office and ask about the crime rate ? I certainly would not call the Chamber of Commerce. They always say "come on down,it's wonderful here." Well, would they live on Holiday ? It's important to know your neighbors before you move because after that it is too late. Thank you and please give me some input.

You are aware that the main driver of the economy there, the nuclear plant, is in the process of being shut down? It's going to have a significant effect on the local economy.
Might want to look into that if you haven't already. The locals are wailing and gnashing their teeth over it, as the tax revenues are going to plummet when it's all said and done.

I always thought you do the research on an area to answer these types of questions before submitting offers on properties.
