Umm, no they were not. It was only the temp that was higher. The real feel was much higher in Tampa.

Actually I believe you're wrong. A lot of natives leave for better opportunity in other states. If C-D is any indicator....

LOL! Raleigh simply did not meet the standards Money Magazine set. Tampa did, therefore got top nod.

Ouch! That's gotta hurt.

It doesn't hurt at all. Raleigh attracts a better demographic by a mile, has a better economy, better weather, etc.. The article even mentioned Amazon, lol. Did you see the recent article in the NY times about how badly Amazon treats its employees? That was their white collar people, imagine what they do to their blue collar grunts. At least they will have some call center jobs to fall back on when they get burnt out. Enjoy your 15 minutes.

I definitely enjoy the winter weather in Southwest Florida. A lot of other people must too, because seasonal rentals have become very expensive. Maybe that's one reason I saw so many snowbirds when I was in North FL (Destin) What surprised me is that many resort areas in Georgia and Alabama are booked solid in the winter, and they aren't cheap, just less expensive than similar accommodations in South Florida, because their busy season begins in March or April.

And they're very quickly replaced by people from elsewhere who also see better opportunities in Florida but are so busy they don't have time for C-D.
Who knows ?
But I certainly wouldn't use online bitching forums as an indicator of how bad a place is.
