With some people you just dont turn around, rant and rave like a madman, throw a cell phone at them and then grab their personal property and throw it at them just because you were a jerk and got ratted out.

You also don't use lethal weapons when you are butthurt.

The one that turned around and ranted and raved like a madman was the shooter.

Rather than just find another seat in a very empty movie theater he had to create a situation when there didn't need to be.

Someone backs into your car in a parking lot, you speak up.

Someone is doing something that annoys you personally in a public place, and you can move away from them, you do so, because Mr. Hothead thought he could control other people's behavior, and you can't.

No different when you go to a near empty restaurant and get seated by unruly kids. Yes, you could go over and rant and rave and tell the parents their kids are badly behaved, but it won't do any good or end well. You're not going to hear "your absolutely right our kids are brats, thank you for telling us"....LOL.

You ask to change tables away from them.

Not that difficult, but you have to be a reasonable person who knows when to pick their battles and when to let it go.

The hypocrisy is that the shooter who was trying to control the victim's cell phone usage was on the cell phone in the same theater seconds before. See how well Michael Dunn did with controlling someone else's behavior.

The old man is an azzhole. IMO he was waiting for a reason to shoot someone.
The other young couple he threatened a couple weeks earlier in the same theatre also for texting are lucky they didn't get shot either.

Personal propriety as in their popcorn? Come on.

Ya, it's crazy. Reeves retired a Captain w/TPD, he helped get there SWAT Team formed. You'd think he would know how to handle all kinds of situations.
Reeves left his seat to go tell a manager about the texting and probably got the impression that the manager didn't think it was such a big deal and wasn't gonna do anything about it (movie hadn't even started yet). He returned to his seat even madder. He should of just found another seat in the almost empty theater.

As always, I will wait for ALL the evidence to be presented before I form an opinion.

I hope the outcome is one in which justice is served properly, whatever way it turns out to be.
