Hello again Guys'n'Gals!
Greetings from Akita, Japan!

Yet another question from us.
Does any one know a good "party" boat for fishing from Clearwater?
We have found a few websites promoting them, but which one you would recommend?

Thanks in advance,
Iiro

Most hotels don't mind if you bring your own refreshments to the poolside, provided your smart about it by NOT bringing down glass bottles and put your drinks in a cup that does not advertise your getting **** faced. As far as the beach is concerned I don't recommend drinking on the beach. Sure some people do, but they do get caught and are asked to leave. I've even seen people get arrested just for being fools. And to be perfectly honest I love to party as much as the next guy. But you have to have respect for the people that are there with their families and little ones. I don't care who you are kids don't need to see people getting drunk and acting like fools. Like I said I'm all for partying just be smart about it and have some respect for the families that are not there to party.

Dear kmorrissey,
Thanks for your answer... We do respect everyone... we were merely asking so that a can or two by the pool chair would be ok.
My friend was just trying to be funny with his comment...

Greetings from Japan,
Iiro

....and people can drink and be polite at the same time without getting a horrible mess around. In our case behaving isn't problem even when partying

Last few times we were at Pier 60 (sunset), there was lots of alcohol being consumed. Too bad about the no glass rule. I understand it, but a brewski is much better from a bottle/glass IMO.

For the party boat, I know people that used to go on Capt. Nemo's, but I wouldn't recommend it. I thought it was too corny. Don't mean to be a snob, I just never got into having my face painted like a pirate, well, unless it was for Halloween or Gasparilla.

My hubby and I just took a getaway there, we are in our early 30's. You can't beat Shepards. It's right on Gulf Bay Blvd over the bridge and to the right. It's actually a hotel but they have live entertainment every night (or at least on weekends), sometimes with contests and such. They also have "The Wave" indoors which is your mini nightclub (you need to pay a cover for this though). They also have a killer buffet with crab legs. They get a pretty mixed crowd also, mostly out of towners. Its great for evening or day fun. There is also a fun place called Jimmy Iguanas also a Resort like hotel with Iguanas upstairs. Same fun atmosphere with music, check out the location though, Im not sure if it's in clearwater. Frenchy's is fun, and for a more elegant dinner, try Island way Grill (if its still there). Be prepared to fight the traffic though down by the beaches and the pier and whatever you do-- don't mess with the traffic laws. Clearwater loves to nail out of towners!

Oh and there are some great parasailing places down by the marina-- Sky Screamers was alot of fun. If you've never done it, its worth the price (last time I was there it was about 70 buck for every 500 ft). The view from up there is breathtaking, not to mention usually a pretty fun boat ride! If you can handle taking a boat out to "sea" deep sea fishing is really popular too, but that's going to cost you! They have a dolphin sight seeing cruise that we haven't had much luck on too

Double Eagle is good or Jaws Too w/ Capt. Dave Mistretta...they are both great boats w/ great captains and you can probably party on there also

They are definitely fishing first, not partying but I don't think either of the guys would mind a beer or two, or three, or four while you're out
