The traffic in the Westchase area is 10x worse than anywhere in Tampa that I can think of because there is no way around it. You absolutely HAVE to deal w/ the traffic on Sheldon, Linebaugh, Hillsborough and Waters. It takes 20 min. just to get to the veterans in the morning lol.
S.Tampa has 100 different streets that run east,west,north,south that you can get around traffic. Anybody w/ any sense knows to get off D.Mabry and take Himes,Howard, Lois etc. Some people are so dumb they probably just stay on D.Mabry though.
S.Tampa also has history and character unlike just another suburb like Westchase.
