Want to get daily subscription (paper delivery) set up. How do people like each of these papers? Please describe each as either left leaning, neutral or right leaning.

Really appreciate any insight.

Thx

The times is left of center but not extreme. Never read !uch of the tribune but my understanding is that it trends more conservative.

I don't really have any use for newspapers anymore. I do read the TBT though, since its free and well produced.

I like Tampa Bay times - lots of local information and good features, currently covering Mental Health facilities in the State, previously did Schools in crisis in Pinellas and before that on that dreadful boys lock up in the north where they killed a lot of kids - really good in-depth writing and several award winning writers. Of course it is more social/left leaning, but the news is the news, and you can ignore the opinion or read and raise your eyebrows if you disagree. If you take on subs as I do when you go away its easy to stop/start and add on to the renew date instead of losing the days. Also I believe you get free access to online if you are away - my husband reads it when he is out of town that way. Saves me holding all that paper!

TBT is the best!!! And its free where you can find it.
I'd probably choose the Times over the Tribune if I subscribed though.

Times wants $169/yr and will not budge. Tribune only wants $69/yr.

Do they both provide the same ads & coupons?

The Times is way too leftist for me.

The Trib publishes a St Pete Trib edition, which we get only on Sundays. It is more centrist than the Times depending which page/writer you are reading. The Trib is Tampa based and includes a lot of content that is irrelevant to folks in Pinellas.

TBT is no longer the Tampa Bay Times. TBT is the free newspaper, and is now simply known as TBT. Tampa Bay Times is what St. Pete Times used to be, and it costs some money.

We get the Times. It is far too left wing for me and I will not renew next February. I may try the Trib but have not decided yet.

Pretty much. But i do get more ads in the Sunday Times paper. I am gonna drop the Times paper as the cost is getting too high.
