NHL is half the amount of games. 162 is crazy. The Rays have a hard time filling the stadium as it is.

NHL - seems like more teams make the playoffs than don't, so why have so many regular season games?

I've been completely engrossed in the season...gone to more than 10 games in 3 different cities so far.

Perhaps I'll go to some Durham Bulls (Rays AAA team) games next year.

that's a real baseball environment (Durham) - never been there but have the team on Facebook and it appears they do things right for a genuine All-American baseball experience.....they probably draw better than the Rays

I drove by the stadium a few weeks ago and it looked really nice. Unfortunately I'm almost 30 miles from there, but it definitely looks interesting enough to check it out. The NHL team here definitely needs help drawing bigger crowds.
