They made everyone leave Danashores back in Sept of 85. That cane sat offshore in the middle grounds for 2 days. We got 50mph winds and some rain. But i tell ya this. It made the fishing offshore unreal. The grouper and snapper were all bunched up on the high peaks and it was like we went back in time to the 40's the fish were so thick. Before the storm we would be lucky to have 300lbs a day and after the storm it was 3000lbs in four hours. The fish bit like that for about 6 weeks. No wonder we almost wiped out all the grouper back in the 80's.
