And it's humorous to see people who think Florida has a passing lane. It's a fast lane, not a passing lane.

The fast lane has the same speed limits as the other lanes.

Until the police enforce laws against passing on the right, drivers will continue to drive in any lane they want.

You can't enforce "Keep right except to pass" without also enforcing "No passing on the right."
It will never happen, and everyone will just continue to do whatever seems right in their own eyes.

I stopped turning right to avoid hitting a wheelchair legally using a dark crosswalk and an aggressive moron tailgating me leaned on his horn. I guess he wanted me to kill a cripple so he could end up a car length ahead of me by the next light.

Up here in Ontario speeding can really bring on a bad day=

Perhaps Florida should also get serious.

Let's dispense with the quaint notion that traffic is expected to adopt a strict interpretation of the speed limit. Even law enforcement does not do so, so gimme a break.

FL does enforce speeding-related offenses; problem is, that's about all they enforce. I, for one, was unaware that FL even had a keep right law, since I never see traffic follow it, and never see it enforced.

And speed really isn't the root cause of accidents. If the left lane is clear, someone could go 100 and not pose a danger to cars in the right/middle lane. The problem is that those driving expeditiously have to play interstate slalom in order to avoid inconsiderate slowpokes, and that can become dangerous.

Thus why, when I pass on the right, I make sure to leave less than an inch of space when I cut back over.

I can understand drivers getting upset over a single driver holding up the left lane, but for the most part I see idiots weaving in and out of traffic to get a single car length - stupid especially when the congested traffic is flowing even above the speed limit (75-80). Guess even 80 mph isn't fast enough for these reckless drivers.

Here's a hint for them.....give yourself more time to get where you have to go.

For all those dedicated to strict adherence to the minutia of every law of the road you'll be happy to know the day is fast approaching when the actual business of driving will be taken out of our hands and given over to computer controlled operating systems ,then we will be relegated to lane and speed deemed appropriate by the computer.
No more speeders,tailgaters,leftlane campers etc
