No more speeders,tailgaters,leftlane campers etc
As much as I dislike the idea of giving up driving, I'm to the point where I'd be willing to do so in the name of EVERYONE having to convert to self-driving cars.

Implementing self-driving cars onesy/twosy really won't have an impact, but once everyone has them, I can envision a system where "the cloud" can factor in everyone who is on the road at the time and can effectively route everyone to where they need to go in the most efficient way possible. End result: no more traffic jams. In a way, it would function almost like mass transit, but with the convenience of door-to-door transportation. When the day comes, sign me up, but only if everyone has to sign up too.

when roadways are congested as our ours have become, right, middle, left lane - really not an issue -there's a lot of breast to breast traffic movement here - but some people enjoy weaving in and out and around, causing chaotic, dangerous situations because they're in a bigger hurry than the rest of us......

this kind of stuff

People that drive like that should be pulled out of their car and get a beating.

In Europe a cop car will pull up next to a car in the left or middle lane and point them to the right lane.

Over here drivers are so used to use all lanes and even cops are driving slow in the middle lane instead or right lane.

I always move over for faster cars as I have seen so may been pulled over shortly thereafter and I don't care how fast they want to go as long as I dot have to pay their ticket. It is not my business if they go fast. If they cut you off on purpose that is a different thing.

Most drivers learn the hard way...a few tickets or traffic court will sometimes help while others never learn.

Which is the passing lane?

In the Tampa Area, I can't figure out which is the passing lane? I see trucks now riding in the left lane, people are on the phone and texting in the right lane, and everyone else is in the middle lane.

Which lane are you supposed to use to pass people who are going slower than the traffic?

I usually hang out in the righthand lane, but find the merging traffic coming onto the freeway couldn't care less that I have the right away. I find that when I'm dealing with a lot of on-ramps it's best to hangout in the middle lane and dodge the speeding-weavers instead.
