Hey VvtarahvV - the site has stats on the cities http://www.city-data.com/city/New-Po...y-Florida.html is the one for new port Richey - its pretty small and a bit removed from the city its-self. Not sure what the vibe is these days, its been years since I've been there.

Someone mentioned St. Petersburg and I will add, specifically in St. Petersburg is Roser Park and in the beach communities, Sunset Beach which is a part of Treasure Island.

Default gays in Tampa area

I am not gay, but I prefer to live in gay neighborhoods because they are always the best neighborhoods. Having three grown children, I am looking for neighborhoods of singles, not families. Nothing against families but my feeling is that I would like to be near like-minded people as well. Gays are often more open minded than people who are raising children and the protective side of some rears its ugly head. There are marrieds with children who think gayness is catchy. I know. I lived with these people in Pittsburgh for 30 years.

I am now divorced and can choose to live anywhere I please. I am thinking of relocating to Florida and looking for a neighborhood of tolerance in the central area of the state. I can't decide whether I should move to the east or west coast. I may not have a chance to decide once I find a job, but for the sake of discussion...east or west? For me, that is the question. Where the boys are...? I'm looking for culture, nightlife, beachy things, and of course, the gay boys...the best of all possible worlds...(Moliere?)

Can anyone help me find the perfect place in Central Florida?

I just discovered a great neighborhood just north of Ft. Lauderdale called Wilton Manors. I know it's a bit south of where you want, but it's super gay.

Help with kenwood apartments. Can't find a site that lists apartments there. RENT.com etc are hopeless. Need a 2+2 with WD hook-ups under $ 1000. Any suggestions? Thanks,Brian (brianbgray@yahoo.com)

Live where you want to live. Go by what is affordable to you, and what makes your commute easier. Basically what makes life easier for you in general. Many areas that are listed as gay friendly seem in many instances to cost more, or be in areas that are not condusive to where your job is or whatever. So again live where you want to and can afford even if its Plant City. If someone has a problem with you living in a community/neighborhood. Then let them either learn to live with different types of people or let them move. Don't let anyone control or limit where you live, be it in Tampa or anywhere in America. Otherwise the country will just get more and more segregated by who one is. Good Luck.
