Are their any decent grocery store chains in St. Pete other than Publix? Their prices and selection are not great. I'm planning to try Winn-Dixie next but thought I would check for other suggestions here, too.

If you think the prices and selection at Publix are not great, then you will not be satisfied with Winn-Dixie.

Love Publix there, love T Joes, love Fresh market - and there are more.

Yes

Also Mazzaro's and the St. Pete Saturday Farmer's Market.

And Oriental Market (Pinellas Park) and the Gulfport Produce Stand (I'm sure there are other stands, but this is the one we frequent).

If the OP is only shopping for low prices, there's always Walmart

I have a friend from college who lives in Tampa. She said none of the supermarkets offer home delivery like they do in other big cities in the U.S. A delivery service would be an ally to a busy bee who toils in heat. The supermarkets who offer home delivery use trucks that are refrigerated.

It could be very difficult to depart Publix for Winn-Dixie. Even though some of its stores have undergone updates and improvements, Winn-Dixie struggles from its decline in the 2000's. The other option is Walmart's Supercenter, Neighborhood Market, and Sam's Club stores.

Albertson's, whose three Florida stores are transitioning to Safeway, is an option. It is not a visible option as it does not have the store count and market share.

Walmart has higher prices on some similar products Publix sells.
