I've lived in Citrus Park for 20 years. When I moved here, there was no mall, no High Schools nearby and no Westchase. The entire area (in and around Westchase) is an eclectic mix of homes, condos and apartments. Artsy doesn't come to mind when I think of Westchase. It's a fairly large area, divided into many sections within. It's a relatively safe place to live. The fees are very high and the HOA is very strict with the rules. Many people complain about the tight restrictions, however the area is a pretty nice place to live. (Remove the restrictions and when someone moves in, paints their house "Florida tangerine orange", don't cut their grass and starts changing their oil in their driveway and suddenly the restrictions would be more appealing). I would recommend the area.

More like a gang banger vibe in TNC.

Grew up in Danashores since 1963 and saw how it went downhill in TNC in the 90's. Don't know what a Tansients are.

Stick around this forum long enough and you'll see plenty of areas that nobody here has personally had a problem in being crapped on. Seminole Heights, Ybor, TnC, etc.

Well Danashore was a whole nother ball game compared to TNC. Just across the golf course from Danashores, went from rich to run down even back in the 60's. Now go take a drive thru parts of TNC. 12 Oaks that was new in the late 70's has really turned into old ugly homes while Danashores looks as good as ever.

Good points, I guess alot of places have changed especially if you are from here. I moved 10 years ago and noticed that any neighborhoods older then 10-15 years except for parts of south tampa and davis island are "run down". They just keep building new houses so why live in something thats old right?
