NPR Guy? I can't stand NPR. Now I feel insulted........LOL!

Beautiful weather, but I need me some thunderstorms. May is when I get all itchy for them, but I have to wait.

New Port Richey, North Pinellas - what's the dif? Practically the same place isn't it? Somewhere N. West of Tampa proper.

Hey now! There is a HUGE difference. Trust me on that. My parents live just east of Lake Tarpon and we live on the banks of Lake Tarpon. Dad had to bring me to a doctor appointment up in NPR (one off, thank god) and he was shocked at the difference.

You know how LK always talks about no rain up there? You can see that it is true. It looks like a dried out, run down area. It is easy to see how it changes from people who own their homes to where people rent them......pretty much EXACTLY as LK has been describing all along.

Yeah, this and last April haven't been so bad, however, I felt like we had less than pleasant Novembers the past 2 years. Weird, it's like the winter months all moved up (December to April instead of November to March), and I agree, yesterday was pretty darn nice. Hiking, a baseball game, and Universal. I'm not holding my breath that this will last much longer, but enjoying it while it does. Frankly, my favorite month was February, I loved that it went down into the 40s/50s consistently at night, enough so to kill off the bugs so I could just sit out on my back porch and watch the stars, hammock, read and have hot chocolate. Camping at Kissimmee Prairie was especially gorgeous on one of those nights.

Yeah, I'm sort of dreading summer too, but at the same time, at least it's baseball season, and I do plan on making several trips this summer (Ohio for 10 days, Yellowstone for a week and perhaps an additional week to Mexico City/North Carolina/New Hampshire if I can piece together the time and airline miles.
