Have been in Asia for 10 years and now moving back at the beginning of 2017. Have Vietnam wife and a 4 year old son. Not sure on condo or house and need good school even if private. Any comments recommendations would be great.

Many Thanks

I will be lucky to work at home. Will travel most by air so the problem will be the usual airport stuff which I know all to well.

I'd recommend renting for a period of time before purchasing. It would allow you to get to know the area. Your budget will be important to know as well as any interests away from work (ie do you want to be near beaches)?

I spent several years in Cambodia, my wife is from there, and we have a 3 year old daughter who was born there. We chose St Petersburg partly because there is a fairly large Asian population here. There are a couple of Buddhist temples, including a very nice Vietnamese one, and several good Oriental markets. You are also close to some excellent beaches, and St Pete has a great downtown with lots of activity. Florida schools aren't the greatest in general, but there are some good magnate and private schools in the area. I think one of the public high schools actually has an IB program too. I would be glad to discuss what it is like living here if you are considering St Pete.
