Up in Cleveland each summer, there's an event that happens about 10-15 times over the stretch from May-September called "Edgewater Live", which is a free, beachside event on Thursday's where there is live music/games/rentals/beer/food trucks
Which provides a space for about 20k-30k Clevelanders, primarily of the 18-39 group a space to mingle/relax/network. Does something similar exist in Tampa Bay? I assume it does but have not heard about it, and I imagine it could definitely be done, perhaps with the longer season on a monthly basis from like October to April. Let me know if there's something like this, though I do realize the beach is a little ways from DT Tampa and even DT St Pete. Thanks!

Looks like Miami Beach has a 4th Wednesday thing with music, and there's the Corey Avenue 4th Friday in St Pete Beach, but I don't know whether either of those are operational or similar.

Not on the beach, but there is a free outdoor music event at Curtis Hixon Park on the first Thursday of each month. I heard about it from a younger person when I was there and I think its the kind of event you are looking for.

Yeah that does sound cool, I will have to check out. Thank you!

Part of reason I asked is its really interesting. During the summer months up north, it seems like literally anything and everything happens outside. I mean any orchestra worth their salt has a summer series outside for 3-4 months (CO at Blossom, BSO at Tanglewood). Yet there doesn't seem to be quite as passionate a zeal during winter here even if there is an uptick in events. Perhaps it's because summer up north also coincides with when more people have time off. Summer activity significantly goes down here too (understandably). Who knows.

Too hot for a lot of stuff in summer, plus we get the summer storms, but there are still events, Clearwater has live music at the pier most weekends, Each city has its events, concerts, Memorial day events, 4th July etc. Downtown St Pete has a host of events, check out local websites.
