$137/month now, $195 in 6 months if I do not call to cancel or switch.

We got the Frontier triple play when it was Verizon and selected the quantum discount (22x24=$528 vs $300 or $400 gift card):

- 50/50 internet ($50)$
- Preferred TV Package ($65)
- Quantum TV ($22)
- 2 HD DVR ($20)
- Fios digital Voice unlimited ($45)

Price before taxes and discounts - $202

Have 1 year left, and some discounts expire after this year:
- Voice Discount ($15)
- Fios TV Promo ($10)
- Video Discount ($10) - ends in 6 months
- Quantum discount ($22) - ends in 6 months
- Fios Discount ($25) - ends in 6 months

Total Discounts - 82
Taxes - 17

All cable and satellite companies charge about the same. I would recommend Bright House. They offer packages for 1 year or 2 years, but then you can signup for a new 1 or 2 year package again and again. Plus there are no contracts, like Verizon did. Also you can change things without a fee.

Bright House offers BayNews9 from Tampa and another Orlando version for free, For you New York folks, there is NY1.

I have Brighthouse 200/10 internet which costs me like $105/month including taxes.

I have Ooma Premium for phone service, which costs me $119.95/year.

For TV, I have DirecTV which costs a fortune (I don't even want to look at a bill) because I have a bunch of receivers/channels (5BR, living, family, lanai all have a TV).

I was eyeing a switch to Brighthouse for TV and get some kind of bundle to save some money but am in a holding pattern due to the Charter takeover.

This is pretty close to what we pay for Verizon/Frontier FIOS. Contract is up this month. I'm going to be interested in seeing what Frontier does to retain us as customers, if anything. Verizon was pretty aggressive about retention when our last contract was up.

Here's something that was a real PITA with Verizon:

I wanted to dump our land line, as we never use it and only get robocalls on it these days. I went on their web site to look at prices for packages without a phone.

Can't do it.

I finally did a chat session with a Verizon rep, only to discover that you couldn't see any pricing for packages for services other than what you currently had, that is, the same that I have right now, not without a phone.

Grrr.

So I asked how I could get an idea of the costs, and this is what they told me:

"Wait until you're off contract, then cancel your phone service. Once that's done, you'll be able to see all of the packages offered, with or without phone service."

Stupid.

We got Frontier for our phone(business) and 50/50 internet for around $114 I believe.
TV is with Direct TV, for what ever they want, as long as they got the exclusive rights to Sunday Ticket!
Go Vikings.

I had Verizon FIOS that was taken over by Frontier a while back. No impact to service really except that my promo for internet only with Verizon a while back for 25/25 for $54/mo was expiring. Was thinking of switching to Spectrum (old Brighthouse cable) for their promo package and decided to just call Frontier up to see what they can do. Frontier boosted my speed to 50/50 for the same price! Would've called them up earlier if I knew.
