We will be moving 6 miles away and will only have furniture from a small 2 bedroom house, barely any boxes to speak of as we are moving the "small stuff" over gradually ourselves.
We are in the Seminole-Largo area.
Any recommendations? Or companies to avoid?
Thanks!

LOL Moving Company in Land O Lakes was good. I'd recommend them.

Go on the uhaul website and there is a link at the bottom for local movers with lots of reviews on each mover. We've used a couple different movers thru the website and were happy with the services.

Beach Movers - Did a couple of small moves for me, including Pasadena to Treasure Island. Very reliable and surprisingly inexpensive family business. Call and speak with the owner; Tom Kilpatrick.

I hired Big Guy Transport through the U-Haul website to unload my rental truck. I spoke with Patrick (I believe he is the owner) and scheduled for a two man crew on Saturday afternoon at 2 PM. (This was 2 weeks ago)
I tried to confirm calling them 3 times on Friday and leaving messages, also called Saturday morning and left 2 more messages.
THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!!

We have used Two Men and a Truck over the last 12 years in Tampa, Orlando and Gainesville for both inter-city and intra-city moves and have had no major issues with them at all. One time, a door to an Ikea cabinet got bumped in the truck and broke (cheap thin door) and they paid for a similar replacement.
