I am new to this site and I have been reading a lot of the post. I have been to Florida a few times and I liked what I saw. I wanted to move because I thought it would be a chance to start somewhere new.

I'm from Memphis, TN so moving to Tampa is a step above, regardless of what anyone can tell me about the place. I just was wondering do you have to be rich to live in Tampa. I've been reading post that makes me feel like I will grow hungry if I move there.

If you are planning on living on the water, have a brand new 4 bedroom/2.5 bath house with a pool, garage, .25 acre with grand oaks and a boat dock in the back, and less than 10 minute commute to downtown Tampa for work...then yes, you need to be rich.

Otherwise, there are ALL kinds kinds here in the city of Tampa.

What will be your salary and what can you afford, and what type of lifestyle do you lead?
