Moved to Bradentucky a year ago. Pretty much conquered that, Sarasota and St Pete. I'm looking for neighborhoods so Tampa similar to NYC.
For example: meat packing district or the village etc.
We have been to Ybor and that street where The Lodge is (wow the waitresses) and been to Channelside.

Are there fun weekend spots I need to know about?
Btw we are 42-41 married with no kids and love great food, wine and having a good time

Thanks all

Hit up Hyde park village, ok but mostly vacant
Tried to go to Mazzaros-closed
Tried to eat at Oxford exchange-n bar and 2 hour wait, lameeeeee. Can't be that good
Ended up in Ybor, good time bc it was mostly dead and a good crowd. Always good for people watching

Ohhh Tampa, you need to kick it up

Tampa has the most overrated restaurants I ever seen in the United States. Not just the city but even the Pinellas Beaches nothing but tourist traps!

In Gulfport, for bar venues: O'Maddys and Salty's.
For fine food and wine: Pia's Trattoria. Hint at Pias: she does a twice monthly specials menu...ALWAYS order from that....innovative, creative stuff.
