Default Renting a home in Clearwater?

I'm looking at possibly moving to the Clear water area and wondered what I would be looking at for paying rent. I would be looking at a house, maybe around 100-1200 sq ft, and somewhere near Dunedin, perhaps around Sunset Point Rd.

I don't know Clearwater that well, and I was also hoping someone could tell me where some of the good areas are.

Thanks!

If you dont get any response here I would post this question on the main Florida forum too because I think many people that would answer you might not come in here.

Good Luck with your move. I am looking to move to that area (Pinallas county) in the spring. You can check out the rental properties at
realtor.com I like that site you can look at homes for sale or rental homes or apts.

I looked in our local MLS and found only 2 homes for rent over 1000sf (lots of condos though). Maybe it's because we're in high season, I don't know for sure. DunedinGirl is on this board sometimes. If you send her a direct message, she could probably give you better info.

Hi KEC,

TampaKaren is right...we are in peak season right now and there is not much available at this moment. Toronto Blue Jays are in spring training right now and this area is very popular until about April. There are a few homes w/ signs in the front yards and a few on craigslist.org but not alot in the MLS system. When are you planning on moving down? If not immediately you shouldn't have a problem.
