Default Riverview CDD

Does anyone know of the homes or communities in Riverview that DO NOT have CDD's that are newer 1999-2008 (app.) ? Seems most do but there are a few. Just wondering if anyone knows of any? Thanks very much for any info.

Sugarat,
I'm moving to Moss Landing in several months (having the house built.) They definitely do not have CDD fees. They do have an HOA fee of $64 a month though. It is on Balm-Riverview Rd (I think that's the name of it. It's near 301 and Boyette.)

There are some slightly older neighborhoods on the same road that may not have even HOA fees (they aren't gated and I didn't notice any community amenities.)
Good luck!

Actually most do not have a CDD, but if you're looking in a community with resort style amenities, you can expect to have an HOA. If I had an idea of your price range, I can give you some possibilities. Additionally, I think most of the smaller communities built by (the previous) Morrison Homes, don't have CDDs either. The large master planned communities will have CDDs. Once you decide on a neighborhood, you will need to confirm with the taxing authorities.

The Community Development Districts aka Special Districts are available to search online at Home | www.FloridaSpecialDistricts.org

CDD stands for Community+ District+Development. n short it pays for the development of the land and community. The home owners pay instead of the government or builder. Larger developments such as Fishhawk and Westchase have them. They range from $600-2000 per year and are paid with your taxes. This is not an HOA but something seperate. That is a rough defenition of a CDD. Riverview, unfortunately has a ton of communities with it.

Default South Pointe

What about South Pointe? Is there a CDD? Good place to live? Summerfield?
