Default give me an honest assessment of the professional job market

Background - I'm a FL girl... I grew up in Volusia County, lived in Gainesville for 5.5 years... and now live in a nightmare called Atlanta. I've been here for 18 months and everyday I wake up dreaming I was back in Florida.

I'd like an honest opinion on the professional job market in Tampa/St. Pete area. I hear (and see) so many negatives about the Florida job market... the low wages, the lack of professional jobs, etc.

My significant other is attorney and I have an M.S. and will probably work in the market research field. We're not looking to buy a house yet... we have no kids so none of those are issues for us. Just safety and a decent job.

Anyone an attorney in Tampa/St. Pete? How's it going down there?
