Hello to all!

Does anyone know of any property managers in St. Petersburg area (safe areas only) that rent out homes that allow dogs and work with Chapter 13 Bankruptcies? I have small dogs and yes, I do have a deposit I can put down. If so, please contact me.

Thank you so much!

Honestly I think best thing is to go to private landlords, just make sure they are who they say they are - on Craigs List - because most property managers have a remit to get tenants who don't have bad credit. If you can give good references and they accept pets, (usually with non refundable deposit for pets) you may find something that works for you - hope you find your place.

I am completely ok with that too. Luckily even though I have a Chapter 13 that will be paid off in October, my credit score (according to credit karma) is showing a 711 & 702. Hopefully, they will see that as well as I got a secured credit card and a secured signature loan about 6 months ago. I turned my 5 year bankruptcy to a 3 year by pulling in a part time job too. I'm hoping I don't find a scam artist which makes me worry on Craigslist, although I do scan through there as well anyway. I just have to be super careful. Thank you for your input.

Please any other advice from people would be greatly appreciated as well.

My best landlords have always been private landlords.

I could actually believe that. Hopefully I can find a good private landlord that could work with me as that would be the most ideal. In my past experience, I've noticed dealing with individuals they don't jack up your rent nowhere near as much as Companies do either.

Now, if only I can find one will be the trick. (One that's not a fraud of course) Can never be too careful now days.

Ya. The owners are human and actually were happy we were taking care of their property and living in it and in one instance, gave us no increase for 3 years.

Crascenda: keep looking on zillow, trulia. If it's a SFH, it's probably privately owned by someone who had to leave for a while or has an investment. GL

Not sure of you're budget but this is still close to downtown and in a great area. GL.
