Up from MO where I'm from that would be considered a lot of people for a county outside of the two main metro areas. In fact, I think that would be the 7th largest county by Missouri standards.

I heard Tampa General is a good paying hospital and is near south Tampa. You may be able to find a 2 bedroom rental in South Tampa for $1,400, but will be really hard. They are suppose to have good schools in a certain section of South Tampa, but the area is highly congested if you don't mind that. The expensive houses are probably the ones with yards and etc.
