Tampa Bay Storm AFL team ceasing operations

one less thing to do in TB....went to one game at Amalie - that's all I needed to see.

Do you know how many times the AFL and their teams have ended? I have no doubt they'll be back within a year.

5 teams in the AFL, now 4, not much lost.

have fun traveling to those other four cities, because as I posted, you won't be seeing it here - not that I care really, wasn't a fan and thought indoor football on an oversized hockey rink wasn't a big deal/worthwhile - at least they Storm have a Championship.

excuse me.....multiple championships....but to me as a lifelong football fan and follower, arena ball had too much of a roller-derby feel to it.....
Storm suspends operations indefinitely

Not sure why you thought I'd be traveling to see any of the teams, didn't bother to go to Amalie. Not a fan, don't see the purpose. With 4 remaining teams it seems no one is really a fan.

Bring back XFL!

I wandered across an old cemetery yesterday. Spent some time exploring.

The one at Oaklawn is historic but needs some maintenance.

BTW, if you're in that area highly recommend visiting Portico Coffee shop - next to historic Methodist church downtown. Nice people there - fee wifi, coffee is good w/ free refill. Short walk to Curtis Hixon, Straz.

Been to Oaklawn many of times. Really cool people buried there (Ybor, anyone?). I stumbled across the Spanish Club's cemetery and spent a good bit wandering through there.
