In the wrong area, Tampa is insanely Latino. Certain areas you'll think you were on vacation.

It has turned into little Cuba in many parts over the last 40 years.

They've taken over the super Wal-Mart at N. Dale Mabry / Waters Av. Everything in Spanish, even the shoplifting signs in the bathrooms. Not just a translation. Just no English at all. Announcements over the loudspeaker, the cashiers, all the customers walkin' around. Nuthin' but Spanish, homes.

Definitely talking about a clueless troll. The Tampa Bay area is the 18th largest metro area in the US (just behind another "backwater" like San Diego and ahead of yet another like Denver ), is the 2nd largest in FL and the 3rd largest in the Southeast US (behind Atlanta and Miami).

Tampa has a great long history with Spanish, Cuban, Caribbean and Italian influences...

thank god it's not Montgomery, Baltimore, NOLA, Birmingham, DC, or Memphis in terms of demographics -

Tampa Bay is hardly some kind of "Spanish Ghetto" in a literal sense, but its residents reflect it history....that's like going to Greenwood MS or Memphis TN and complain there aren't many whites....you want to be around a bunch of blacks 24/7, then move to Baltimore, Birmingham or Opa-Locka FL

Obviously, the Cubans back then had children... Thus growing their population.

That said, prior to Ybor City, Tampa's population was 2,000. After Ybor's death, Tampa's population was over 20,000. To say that Cubans didn't play a big role in that is just stupid.
