I'm new to the area. I live in Clearwater Florida and i've been needing to get over to Tampa, but I don't have a car. I have a bike and I know about the trail that runs parallel to Florida State Route 60 but it's bit too far for me to ride so, I'm just wondering how much does it cost to take a bus from Clearwater to Tampa? I've been needing to go over there.

Also, do they give you a transfer so you can get back? and can you attach your bike to the bus too? and also, where would I go to catch the bus to Tampa?

please help ♥

and the greyhound bus station is pretty far from me, and you can't mount a bike on that.

We use to skip school some days and take the city bus to the beaches but that was over 20 years ago. I'm sure there's still a city bus that crosses the bridge.

Maybe you need a truck buck. Bus riding is not easy in this area. Public transport is lacking in the Tampa area.

I don't think they (Hartline anyway) gives transfers but they do sell a day pass, I think it's less than $5.

Yes, all the Hartline bus's I see have bike racks.

I don't know what the City bus is called in Pinellas County but in Hillsborough County it's called Hartline. You can go to this website and enter your location and where and what time you gotta be someplace and it'll tell you what bus #, what time, and where to catch the bus along w/ any transfers.

Good luck!

I work in downtown Tampa close to the Marion Street bus corridor and I regularly see a bus from Pinellas County. I have no idea if it comes from Clearwater or connects to there, however, you should look at whatever public transportation service there is in Pinellas County and I'm sure it will be obvious.

PSTA is the Pinellas transit system and there do appear to be express routes from it to the Marion Transit Center in downtown Tampa.

Catch the 300X bus from the ulmerton park & ride or anywhere along it's route to marion transit in downtown tampa. It cost $3 and you can't use the daily bus passes on the commuter buses unless it's the psta/Hartline passport which you can use on both psta & Hartline(Tampa) buses. If I recall correctly Tampa's buses are $2. No they don't do transfers anymore, that stopped years ago. You can find all the info you need on their websites.
