Fans complained about having to drive over a bridge to go see a game. Now lets see them sit in rush hour traffic on 275/I4/Malfunction Junction. It will just add to the evening commutes of the Bay Area drivers as well.

Not a good idea. First, if this means residents have to pay a tax or something, no thanks. I end up paying a tax so the muti-rich get richer? Second, the traffic in the TB area is horrific. This will only make things worse.

Big sports needs to find another state. The sorry Bucs have been a let down since 1976 other than maybe 4 or 5 lucky years. Not a good Avg and St Pete built that dome for the Rays back in 1987 that was a total waste of money.

There will be no tax for residents. Every city that has done that has regretted it, including TAMPA when the Bucs stadium was built.

Funny though...Tampa residents have been begging the Rays to break their lease and move 25 minutes closer for exactly 20 years. Now you don't want the traffic in your backyard??

Perhaps some Tampa residents, not I. I could care less. Having the team here has not increased my socio-economic level at all.

Not that anyone would expect a baseball franchise to do such a thing...

2008-2013 were resounding wins for the fans in the Tampa Bay area. Those not troubled that is by a beautiful 25 minute drive over the Gulf to a stadium with plenty of cheap tickets and parking to watch the third most winningest team in the MLB compete with the Yankees, Red Sox, and every other AL club. Competing and often outplaying those teams despite being outspent by BILLIONS of dollars due to the spoiled Tampa fans insisting on the park being a little closer to their homes or work. But not too close because that would mean traffic...

Tampa Bay residents didn't deserve those historic teams. Now they're complaining about getting a better one. Awesome.
