Also, for good Vietnamese food, try...
Saigon Corner Asian Bistro
518 Oakfield Dr
Brandon, FL 33511

They have some great Vietnamese Beef Soup there...

If you want REAL authentic Thai food, I would go to the Thai Temple on Sunday for lunch. You eat outside, but the food is really good. GREAT soup!

La Teresita for Cuban - Tampa and Pinellas Park
El Maguey for Mexican (somewhat authentic Mexican - St. Pete near Tyrone Square
Eddie and Sam's for pizza - downtown Tampa
El Cap and Chattaway for burgers - St. Pete

Granted my info is a year old (I moved, but am probably moving back)

Hoping that there is great Indian and Chinese now (not holding my breath on the Chinese).

The Thai Temple is a lot of fun!

Restaurant BT in Hyde Park is terrific! The food is Vietnamese-French, delicious, and the presentation is beautiful. (Pricey, though.)

I'll have to try Pizza Haven - where is it, and are there places to sit inside?

Bern's really is an experience. It can be costly if you do it right, but it's just so unique that it really can't be compared to any of the other steakhouses in the area. Definitely a must-do, even if it's just for a rare special occasion.

I like the Main Street Grill in downtown New Port Richey. It hasn't been open long, but the staff are great and friendly and the environment is awesome. Great outside eating area complete with AC for those hotter FL days.
